Welcome to Hamiltons Pub & The Geashill Tea Rooms.

Situated in the heart of Geashill, Ireland’s Tidiest Village 2023, our pub welcomes you to County Offaly with award-winning hospitality, creamy pints of Guinness and beers, classic drinks made to order and fresh ground coffee supplied by Coffee House Lane in Waterford.

The Hamiltons MUSIC Playlist

Our customers have some favourite tunes they like to hear as the evening progresses – we’ve started to collect them on a playlist.

Next time you are in – let us know your favourite.

We also like to listen to Legend106 – celebrating the “legends”, one song at a time.

The Bar

The crackle of the fire, the sound of laughter and chat and you have everything you need to settle in for a relaxing drink in good company.

It’s all about that feeling of being welcome and amongst friends and Geashill has proved to be one of the most welcoming villages we have ever been to and why we now call it home.
Check with us as some Friday nights we have the pleasure of hosting some traditional musicians for an informal session – always sure to create the best atmosphere.

Don’t forget on the third Friday of the month we welcome traditional musicians for an informal session called The Gathering .

Sustainable Planting & Bees

Hamiltons has a well desererved reputation for the flowers on the building every summer.  We are delighted to work with Tirlan and their hortoculturalists to ensure our planting this year is bio diverse and supports polinators – keep and eye on our building for new plantin gas the weatehr improves. Operation Pollination recognizes the importance of pollinator habitat both restored and maintained on public and private lands.  So while we want to keep the cascade of amazing flowers this year will will be looking to keep in the spirit of pollination!

The Geashill Tea Rooms

We’re both fans of a great cup of coffee and look forward to serving you a tempting range of freshly ground coffee from the 1690 range, coming this March.

Mark Bergin of Coffee House Lane tells us that ‘Our Coffee House Lane range is not just inspired by the name but also by the ethos of coffee roasting and brewing back in 1690.

Our Geashill Tea Rooms are now open 11.00am to 2.00 pm on Saturday & Sunday.

In recognition of being located in Ireland’s Tidiest Village and as part of our own sustainablilty programme for the bar, we encourage the use of reusuable cups for take-away to help reduce litter.

Sustainability and Reuse Policy

WHY REUSABLES?
Globally, we use 500 billion single-use cups every year, and in Ireland alone, we use over 200 million! Although disposable cups are marketed as “recyclable” and “compostable”, only 1 in 400 cups are properly disposed of, meaning more than 99% of disposable cups used end up in landfills or incineration.

That’s where a deposit and return scheme comes in, providing all the convenience of a takeaway cup minus the mental strain to remember your own, and without the waste!
